Bid more jobs without bidding blind.
Bidding is a pipeline: invites arrive, someone decides what to chase, the takeoff happens, addenda land, subs get leveled and a proposal goes out. RenderDraw covers the takeoff step: AI proposes quantities, your estimator reviews them, and approved rows move on to pricing and visual CPQ. Intake, bid/no-bid, leveling and the proposal stay in your existing tools.
- Bid intake
- Bid/no-bid
- AI takeoff + review
- Proposal handoff

From invite to proposal.
Intake
Invites and documents into one queue.
Bid / no-bid
Score jobs before spending estimating hours.
Takeoff
AI-proposed quantities with estimator review.
Addenda
Changed quantities go back through review.
Leveling and proposal
Compare sub bids; assemble the proposal.
What RenderDraw is built around.
Source evidence
Every proposed quantity keeps the drawing tile and sheet it came from.
Review queue
Items are ordered by uncertainty, lowest confidence first, with confirm, edit and reject on each.
Uncertain items flagged
Every item keeps its source sheet, so your estimator can check it against related sheets and schedules. Items the AI can't confirm are flagged, not guessed.
Revisions
Changed sheets go back through the same takeoff and estimator review.
Pricing handoff
Approved quantities hand off to your pricing and, for configured products, to RenderDraw's visual CPQ.
Learns your symbols
Reviewed corrections feed the knowledgebase, so non-standard client symbols improve after a reviewed takeoff or two.
What we checked (November 2026)
- Three bid types:
- Sealed bid: the lowest responsive, responsible bid wins. Federal sealed bidding is FAR Part 14.
- Negotiated proposal: evaluated on factors beyond price. Federal negotiated procurement is FAR Part 15.
- Private invitation: the owner's instructions to bidders govern.
- Addenda acknowledgment. In federal sealed bids, every amendment must be acknowledged by bid time (FAR 52.214-3). A missing acknowledgment can make a bid nonresponsive.
- Bid bonds. On federal construction contracts over $150,000, the Miller Act requires performance and payment bonds. Under FAR 28.101-2, a federal bid guarantee must be at least 20% of the bid price but not more than $3 million. Check bond requirements and surety capacity before you invest hours in a bid.
- Rule of thumb for bid volume: track your hit rate by job type and customer. If one type of job wins rarely, it is usually a bid/no-bid problem, not a takeoff-speed problem, and faster takeoff alone will not fix it.
Run one bid side by side.
Pick a real job
Choose a recent bid with the plan set, legend, schedules and at least one addendum.
Build a baseline
Have an estimator check the quantities you want to test.
Run it side by side
Run the same set through your current tool and through a RenderDraw sample.
Score misses and review time
Record missed items, wrong inclusions and the time spent correcting each result.

Construction bidding software, answered.
What does construction bidding software do?
It manages bid invitations, documents, takeoff, pricing, subcontractor bids and proposals for contractors.
Can it help decide which jobs to bid?
RenderDraw doesn't score jobs. Use a written bid/no-bid checklist (see the bid/no-bid guide) and decide before you spend estimating hours.
How does it handle addenda?
Changed quantities keep their source revision and go back through estimator review.
Does the AI price the job by itself?
No. AI proposes quantities; your estimator reviews them, lowest confidence first, and only approved rows are priced with your assemblies, price lists and labor units.
Can I try it on my own drawings?
Yes. Request a free sample takeoff on one representative plan set. Your sample files remain private while we assess the request, and there is no obligation to proceed.
Which part of bidding does RenderDraw cover?
Takeoff. AI proposes quantities with the source sheet attached, your estimator reviews them, and approved rows hand off to pricing and visual CPQ. Bid intake, bid/no-bid decisions, sub leveling and proposals stay in your existing bid board, spreadsheet or estimating system.
Send one plan set. Judge the result yourself.
A focused, no-obligation evaluation on your own drawings. Your sample files remain private while we assess the request.
- Upload one representative plan set (a legible PDF set is the most reliable starting point), plus an addendum if you have one.
- RenderDraw reviews the set and the scope you want tested.
- We follow up with what was extracted, what was flagged for review, and the most useful next step.
