Millwork & casework

Millwork estimating that reads the interior elevations.

Millwork scope lives in interior elevations, casework details and finish schedules. RenderDraw proposes base and upper cabinet LF, countertops, panels and trim by type with the sheet attached, so the estimator reviews before pricing.

The quantities a drywall estimator actually needs

These are the items RenderDraw proposes from the drawings, each linked to the sheet it came from, for your estimator to accept, correct or reject.

How it works

From plan set to reviewed quantities.

AI-powered, human-approved. Each stage records what ran, what changed and who approved it.

Upload floor plans with partition tags, the partition type legend, reflected ceiling plans, the door schedule and Division 09 spec sections. Add an addendum if you have one.

AI proposes quantities

Counts, lengths and areas come back with the source sheet and location attached to every row.

Estimator review

Low-confidence items surface first. Your estimator accepts, corrects or rejects each one.

Map to your assemblies

Approved quantities map to your items, assemblies and estimating assumptions.

Price reviewed rows

Labor units, material pricing and supplier quotes apply only to rows that passed review.

Hand off with evidence

Approved quantities move on to pricing and visual CPQ with the evidence trail still attached.

Fact check

What we checked (November 2026)

  • Quality grades: the Architectural Woodwork Standards (AWS, 2nd edition) define three grades:
    • Economy: the minimum quality level.
    • Custom: the default when a spec doesn't say otherwise.
    • Premium: the highest level of control over materials and workmanship.
Grades can be mixed on one project. AWI now publishes its own standards, so read which standard and edition the spec cites. The grade changes material, matching and labor.
  • Accessibility: accessible work surfaces under ADA Section 902.3 are 28 in minimum to 34 in maximum above the finish floor. Sales and service counters have their own rules in Section 904. Check the elevations for dropped counter sections before you price uniform runs.
  • Takeoff rule of thumb: take off base and upper cabinets as linear feet by type and height. Take tall cabinets and specialty units as counts, and countertops as LF by material plus backsplash and end splashes.
Human review, by design

The AI drafts. Your estimator decides.

Speed is easy to promise. Defensible numbers are the job, so RenderDraw keeps the estimator in control of every quantity that gets priced.

  • Source on every row. Each quantity keeps its source sheet, location and reviewer decision.
  • Lowest confidence first. The review queue shows the drawing tile with the detection highlighted and the extracted value.
  • Uncertain items flagged, not hidden. Anything the AI can't confirm goes to the estimator rather than being guessed.
  • Nothing priced before approval. Rows move on to pricing only after they are accepted.

Start small

See what the AI reads on your own drawings.

Send one representative drywall plan set. RenderDraw reviews it and follows up with what the AI extracted and what it flagged for review. Your files remain private while the request is assessed, and there is no obligation.

  1. Upload floor plans with partition tags, the partition type legend, reflected ceiling plans, the door schedule and Division 09 spec sections.
  2. RenderDraw reviews the set and the scope you want tested.
  3. We follow up with extracted quantities, flagged items and next steps.
