Glazing estimating software that reads elevations.
Glazing estimates come from elevations, schedules and details: opening sizes by system, glass types, mirrors, doors and hardware. RenderDraw proposes openings and areas by system with the sheet attached, and RenderDraw's configurator can carry them into configured quotes.

What glaziers quantify.
| Item | Unit | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Storefront / curtain wall | Openings, SF, LF of framing | Elevations, details |
| Windows | Count by type and size | Window schedule, elevations |
| Glass by type | SF | Glass schedule, spec |
| Mirrors | Count and SF | Interior elevations |
| Entrances | Count, hardware sets | Door schedule |
The quantities a glazing estimator actually needs
These are the items RenderDraw proposes from the drawings, each linked to the sheet it came from, for your estimator to accept, correct or reject.
| Item | What is measured or counted | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Openings | Window and storefront counts by type | Elevations, window schedule |
| Glass area | Glass area by type and makeup | Elevations, glazing schedule |
| Framing | Mullion and transom lengths | Elevations, details |
| Doors | Entrances and hardware sets | Door schedule |
| Perimeter | Sealant and flashing lengths | Details |
From plan set to reviewed quantities.
AI-powered, human-approved. Each stage records what ran, what changed and who approved it.
Start with your bid package
Drawings, specs and addenda together: exterior elevations, window and door schedules, glazing details and the Division 08 spec sections.
AI proposes quantities
Counts, lengths and areas come back with the source sheet and location attached to every row.
Estimator review
Low-confidence items surface first. Your estimator accepts, corrects or rejects each one.
Map to your assemblies
Approved quantities map to your items, assemblies and estimating assumptions.
Price reviewed rows
Labor units, material pricing and supplier quotes apply only to rows that passed review.
Hand off with evidence
Approved quantities move on to pricing and visual CPQ with the evidence trail still attached.

What we checked (November 2026)
- Safety glazing (IBC 2021, §2406.4): the code lists the hazardous locations that require safety glazing. They include:
- glazing in all fixed and operable panels of swinging, sliding and bifold doors, with stated exceptions such as openings too small for a 3-in sphere and decorative glazing
- glazing adjacent to doors
- certain large panes near floors
- wet areas
- guards and railings
- glazing adjacent to stairs
- Glass sizes: take off openings by system. Then derive lite sizes from the elevations: daylight opening plus bite on each edge. Order sizes are not opening sizes.
- Gotcha: elevations often show "typical" bays. Multiply each bay type by its count from the plans, and check end bays and corners, which are usually different.
The AI drafts. Your estimator decides.
Speed is easy to promise. Defensible numbers are the job, so RenderDraw keeps the estimator in control of every quantity that gets priced.
- Source on every row. Each quantity keeps its source sheet, location and reviewer decision.
- Lowest confidence first. The review queue shows the drawing tile with the detection highlighted and the extracted value.
- Uncertain items flagged, not hidden. Anything the AI can't confirm goes to the estimator rather than being guessed.
- Nothing priced before approval. Rows move on to pricing only after they are accepted.
