A quote template that says what's in and what's out.
Most quote disputes come from what the quote didn't say. This template carries line items and totals, and also the inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, alternates and validity date that make a quote defensible, for software or for subcontract scopes.

From drawings to a priced line, in order.
Reference the documents
State the drawing set, date and addenda the quote is based on.
Price base and alternates
Mark each line Base or Alt so alternates never slip into the total.
Write inclusions and exclusions
Use the Scope tab; reference sheets or spec sections.
Set validity
Material pricing moves; a validity date protects the number.
What each column is for.
| Column | What goes in it |
|---|---|
| Description | What the line covers, with drawing or spec reference |
| Base/Alt | Base = in total; Alt = priced alternate |
| Type | Inclusion, Exclusion, Assumption, Clarification |
| Reference | Sheet, spec section or addendum |
Three quotes, three levels of protection.
Lump sum, no scope
"Electrical per plans: $X." Fast to write, impossible to defend when the GC thinks site lighting was included.
Lump sum + exclusions
The same price with a short exclusions list. Better, but inclusions are still implied.
Line items + scope + validity
Quantities, references, alternates, inclusions, exclusions and a date. This is what the template produces.
The AI drafts. Your estimator decides.
Speed is easy to promise. Defensible numbers are the job, so RenderDraw keeps the estimator in control of every quantity that gets priced.
- Source on every row. Each quantity keeps its source sheet, location and reviewer decision.
- Lowest confidence first. The review queue shows the drawing tile with the detection highlighted and the extracted value.
- Uncertain items flagged, not hidden. Anything the AI can't confirm goes to the estimator rather than being guessed.
- Nothing priced before approval. Rows move on to pricing only after they are accepted.

Questions estimators ask
What should a quote template include?
Who it's for, the documents it's based on, line items or a scope summary, total, alternates, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, validity and terms.
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
An estimate is your internal calculation of cost; a quote is the price you commit to, usually with conditions and a validity period.
Is this a software quote template?
It works for software or service quotes (licenses, implementation, support lines) and for subcontract scopes. Edit the line items to fit.
Is this legal advice?
No. Terms are placeholders; have your own terms reviewed by your attorney.
Can RenderDraw generate the quote?
RenderDraw's part is the takeoff: reviewed quantities hand off to pricing and visual CPQ. The quote's assumptions and exclusions stay with you.
